Meet Yebba, an 11-year-old black-and-rust girl with a playful, affectionate, sweet personality that belies her age. She is well-trained, eager to please, and knows a variety of commands including sit, down, stay, come, wait, place, and paw. She’s a total “Velcro dog,” happiest when she’s by your side—whether that’s snuggled up on the couch, curled in bed, or following you from room to room. Yebba thrives on companionship and is happiest when she’s close to her people, whether relaxing at home or enjoying a walk. She does best with moderate daily exercise, including 20–30 minute walks a few times per day. Yebba has a grade 3 heart murmur, so her activity should be monitored and limited in hot weather. An adopter comfortable with ongoing heart care will help her continue to thrive. Yebba is friendly and social with people of all ages, including children. She lives successfully with small dogs and cats and generally does well with other calm animals. She may be slightly tense during on-leash greetings, so slow introductions are recommended. She can be mildly protective of food or toys but responds well to redirection. In the home, Yebba is calm, house-trained, and trustworthy when left alone, though she may experience mild separation anxiety. She enjoys stuffed toys, sunbathing, and relaxing on the couch. Above all, she is a loyal and loving companion who forms strong bonds with her family. Yebba would do well in a variety of home environments, ideally with a comfortable indoor space and a family committed to her care and companionship.
