Bruce is a thoughtful, well-mannered boy who is currently taking his time to understand the world around him. He’s a big thinker—calm, observant, and not very reactive—making him a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates a dog with depth and intelligence. Bruce appears to have had prior training and responds well to structure. He already knows sit, stay, come, wait, paw/shake, and “with me,” and he walks nicely on a leash. He’s very food-motivated, which makes continued training both fun and rewarding. Bruce does best with a confident, firm leader who can provide guidance and consistency.

At home, Bruce is crate-trained at night and enjoys having space to roam during the day. He’s adaptable but currently a bit reserved as he settles in—his personality is still unfolding, and we expect his confidence to continue to grow with time and stability. Bruce enjoys car rides and walks, and he’s happiest in a quiet home environment. He may do well with large dogs and female dogs, though we're still getting to know his personality and slow dog-dog introductions are always recommended. If you’re looking for a senior Doberman who is intelligent, calm, and eager to bond with the right person, Bruce could be a wonderful match. With patience, leadership, and love, he has all the potential to become an incredibly loyal companion.

We are still getting to know Bruce’s personality and needs. The first step toward adoption is completing an application on our website. Approved applicants will be contacted once this dog becomes available!
