Charlie is a friendly, outgoing dog with a playful personality and a sweet, submissive nature. He truly enjoys the company of other dogs—big or small, male or female—and does an excellent job matching his play style to his companions. While he can play a bit enthusiastically, he responds well to other dogs’ cues and thrives with canine friends. An active home would be ideal for Charlie. He loves the outdoors and benefits from daily exercise, whether that’s playtime in the yard, long walks, or runs. He would do especially well in a home with another dog or in an environment that offers plenty of activity and engagement.
Charlie is crate trained and can also be trusted to sleep outside of the crate overnight. He is food-motivated, which makes training a rewarding experience. He is still building confidence in a few areas—he can be anxious in the car and is continuing to work on leash manners. He may initially be hesitant around tall men, but with patience and positive reinforcement, he warms up and forms strong bonds. Charlie is great around older, dog-savvy children and would do well in a variety of home settings, particularly those that provide structure, exercise, and companionship. Overall, Charlie is a happy, affectionate dog who will make a wonderful companion for an active household ready to include him in daily life and adventures.
