Meet Tatum, a bright and affectionate young Doberman who’s proving to be the perfect mix of playful and calm! This lovely girl is house- and crate-trained, enjoys plenty of walks and outdoor playtime, and is thriving in her foster home alongside two male Dobermans. She plays beautifully with her foster brothers and would likely do well with any friendly dog after a proper introduction.

While cats are unknown, Tatum has shown an interest in chasing bunnies, so she’ll need thoughtful introductions to any small animals. She’s an eager learner who’s improving every day on her leash manners—currently walking well with her foster pack and practicing solo walks to build confidence.

Tatum loves car rides, wrestling with her foster brothers, and chasing others who are playing fetch, even if she hasn’t quite figured out the game herself yet. Due to a previous leg injury, her playtime is supervised to keep things calm, but that doesn’t stop her from having fun! She’s also food and treat motivated and enjoys cheese chews, stuffed Kongs, and antlers during downtime.

Indoors, Tatum is calm and respectful—fully potty trained and happy to rest in her crate when she’s ready for a nap. She’s curious and clever (like any teenage Doberman!) and will occasionally explore countertops or open cabinets, so consistency will be key as she matures. She’s also showing steady progress with confidence and affection, now happily approaching her fosters for pets and attention.

Tatum is friendly, adaptable, reserved, and playful, with a wonderful balance of energy and sweetness. She’d do well in nearly any environment but would especially thrive with another dog companion to help her settle in and keep her company. In just three weeks, she’s blossomed in her foster home—and she’s only getting better!
