Meet Scooter! This young male Doberman is a bundle of friendly energy and playful charm who’s looking for an active and loving home. He’s been with his foster for about a month and is already crate-trained, happily snoozing in his bed overnight. Scooter has had just a couple of early accidents and now has a good routine.
Right now, he’s going through heartworm treatment, so his exercise has been limited, but that hasn’t dimmed his joyful spirit. He’s great with other dogs of all sizes—he’s been friendly with both big and small dogs he’s met. He can be a bit of a gentleman wanting to sniff first, but he’s shown no aggression. Just note that he’s still figuring out his preferences around large female dogs, so a bit of careful introduction might be needed.
Scooter is a playful, happy, and confident boy who loves car rides—though he sometimes forgets the rules and tries to jump out if he’s not secured. He’s still working on leash manners and basic obedience like not jumping on people to say hello. He’s a typical mouthy and energetic Doberman youngster who needs chew toys and a little guidance to be at his best. In short, Scooter’s a loving Velcro dog who’ll thrive in a home that can keep up with his playful spirit and give him the activity and love he craves.
