Meet Stella! Stella is a loyal, playful, and energetic Dobe who forms deep bonds with her people. Once she knows and trusts you, she is incredibly loving and affectionate — a true cuddle bug who would happily spend all her time with her favorite humans. She loves fetch, enjoys car rides, and is always up for activity. Stella has a very high energy level and thrives with multiple daily walks, play sessions, and mental stimulation to keep her happy and balanced.
Stella has a solid foundation of obedience training and knows commands like sit, down, stay, come, wait, and place (she’s still polishing them, but the knowledge is there!). She sleeps comfortably in her crate in a separate bedroom and does well with structure and routine. That said, Stella is not a beginner dog and will require continued training, patience, and management to address her reactivity towards strangers and visitors, particularly men. Because of this, Stella would do best in an adults-only home with experienced Doberman owners. She gets along well with male dogs, both big and small, and would benefit from having another dog for companionship, though she plays very rough and will need a tolerant playmate. Stella should be fed separately, as she can be protective of food and toys, and she'll definitely need some chew toys available!
Stella also has mild separation anxiety and can be destructive when left alone, so a home where someone is around often — or where she has a canine companion — would be ideal. She needs continued work on leash manners and controlled introductions to new dogs.
We are still getting to know Stella’s personality and needs. Stella will also be getting spayed in March. The first step toward adoption is completing an application on our website. Approved applicants will be contacted once this dog becomes available!
