Meet Enzo, a handsome 8-year old Doberman with a calm, thoughtful presence and an affectionate heart. He’s incredibly intelligent and intentional in everything he does—he communicates clearly with his people, whether he’s asking for pets, a walk, or a little space. Once you learn his language, you’ll see just how special he is.

Enzo is medium-energy, and couple of daily walks (with lots of time to sniff!) and some outdoor time keep him happy. He’s not much of a play-focused dog, but he does enjoy chew toys or occasionally carrying around a stuffed animal. What he truly loves most is affection and food —slow, gentle pets are his favorite thing in the world. He’s a classic Velcro Doberman, happiest right by your side. He’ll follow you from room to room, lean into you for attention, and settle nearby once he’s content.

Enzo is highly trained and knows a wide range of commands like sit, down, stay, come, wait, place, and “go home.” He’s very food motivated, eager to please, and learns quickly. On leash, he’s generally well-mannered, though he’s still working on consistent loose-leash walking. He also absolutely loves car rides. He’s observant and alert in new situations, but warms up to new people once he sees that you’re comfortable.

Because of his sensitive nature, Enzo would do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced Doberman owners who have had male Dobermans in the past. He will not be placed with small children, as he can be nervous around fast movements and prefers slow, respectful interactions. He is sensitive to people around his face, so a home that is willing to learn and respect his boundaries is a must. He’s been dog-neutral so far and may do well with calm dogs, and has shown appropriate curiosity around cats.

Enzo has mild separation anxiety but does well when crated and will settle after a short period. He may need continued support with being alone and benefits from having appropriate, super-sturdy toys to chew. Loud or sudden noises can startle him, and he prefers slow, gentle interactions—no fast movements, reaching over his head, or getting in his face.

Enzo is incredibly observant, intuitive, and affectionate. He forms strong bonds quickly and will become your constant companion. If you’re looking for a smart, sensitive, and affectionate dog who will stay close and fill your home with quiet love (and the occasional goofy zoomies), Enzo could be your perfect match. His ideal home would include a quiet environment (adults-only or older children), no high-energy pets, an experienced male Doberman owner , a yard or regular access to outdoor space, and someone who appreciates a sensitive, communicative dog.
