Meet Dora, a female Doberman who embodies everything people love about the breed: loyal, affectionate, intelligent, and deeply devoted to her family. Her foster describes her as a true Doberman shadow who is happiest when she can be right beside her people, soaking up as much love and attention as possible. Dora is house-trained, crate-trained, and settles well when left alone. Her crate serves as her safe space, and she happily relaxes there during the day or overnight. While she enjoys a moderate amount of exercise, her favorite activities are often the simple ones—lounging in a sunbeam, snuggling on the couch, playing fetch, and spending time with her family and canine companions.
Dora is great with other dogs - she currently lives with both a Doberman and a small dog and enjoys having a playmate. She would likely thrive in a home with another friendly dog for companionship. She enjoys roaming, sunbathing, and relaxing outdoors, and she would not be well-suited to a leash-only lifestyle.
