Banner is an 11-month-old black-and-rust Doberman with an enormous personality and a smile that never seems to quit. This goofy, affectionate boy is equal parts class clown, adventure buddy, and Velcro dog. He loves his people and seems to believe that whatever they are doing, he should be doing it too!
As a young dog, Banner has plenty of energy and needs a home that can give him lots of exercise, playtime, and opportunities to explore. He loves running in the backyard, playing with his rope toys, and being nosy about whatever his humans are up to. He enjoys both playful and calmer dogs and could benefit from a canine playmate, although an active family that keeps his busy mind occupied could be just as happy for him.
Banner is very affectionate and loves being close to his people. He can be a little shy when he first encounters something new, but he warms up quickly and is usually ready to be your best friend within minutes. He may bark or complain briefly when he's unsure or when he's crated, but he settles and doesn't carry on for long. He has shown no aggression.
Banner is food motivated and already knows sit and place, making him a fun dog to train. He is still very much a youngster and will need continued work on jumping up, leash pulling, counter-surfing, and general young-Doberman manners. He is eager to please and has a wonderful foundation for becoming an incredible companion.
Banner is a big-hearted, goofy boy who will brighten even the gloomiest day. He gives affection freely, loves being with his people, and is always ready for the next adventure. With the right combination of exercise, structure, and continued training, this happy boy has all the makings of an exceptional Doberman.
