Meet Mack – Loyal, Playful, and Full of Heart

Mack is a sweet and sensitive soul looking for a calm, experienced home to call his own. This handsome guy is house trained (though he may have an accident if you're not paying attention) and crate trained. He loves to run, wrestle, and play chase with his foster siblings in the yard—but he's just as content snuggling up for a nap once he’s had his fill of fun.

Mack is dog-friendly and enjoys the company of other pups. He can be a little cautious at first, but once he feels safe, he’s affectionate and playful. He enjoys gentle wrestling, snuggling with his dog friends, and loves having a buddy around to keep him company. He doesn’t mind sharing attention with other dogs but thrives when he gets dedicated one-on-one time—he’s a big mama’s boy at heart.

Cat tested and approved (mostly!) – Mack initially wanted to chase the cats out of curiosity but has since learned to coexist. He’ll even cuddle with them! Occasionally, he may try to pester them to play, but he doesn’t react when swatted.

With teenagers, Mack is cautious but warms up in time. He hasn’t been around small children in the home, but he has shown some nervousness around young neighborhood kids, especially when they’re active. He would do best in a home without small children and minimal chaos.

Mack is still learning how to walk politely on a leash and needs someone who can help him work through his reactivity to things like passing cars or kids on bikes. He loves car rides, but new environments and strangers can make him anxious. He needs slow introductions and time to feel safe.

Inside the home, Mack is affectionate, silly, and playful. He needs plenty of chew toys and is known to destroy stuffies, beds, and blankets if left to his own devices. He may bark excessively when left alone or when out in the yard, so a home with patient neighbors—or one a bit more secluded—would be ideal.

The ideal home for Mack:

  • Quiet, stable environment with few visitors

  • Experienced dog owners who understand anxious or reactive dogs

  • Another playful dog in the home

  • A fenced yard for zoomies and safe playtime

  • Someone willing to invest in building trust

Mack may take time to come out of his shell, but once he bonds with you, he is loyal, loving, and devoted. With the right structure, companionship, and consistency, he will make a wonderful best friend.
