Dex is a striking 3-year-old Doberman with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This 95-pound hunk of sleek black-and-rust energy is looking for an experienced adopter who understands the Doberman breed and is ready to give him the structure, activity, and purpose he thrives on.
Dex is crate and potty trained, has a solid foundation of obedience, and knows several commands including sit, down, stay, come, wait, place, and shake. He’s also a blast to exercise with — he loves flirt pole sessions, fetch, bike rides, and chasing water from a garden hose. He needs vigorous activity twice a day and excels in a home with plenty of outlets for physical and mental enrichment.
Independent, confident, and curious, Dex is a classic working dog who will “find a job” if you don’t give him one. He enjoys gathering items around the house (especially if left unsupervised) and is still working on reliably releasing high-value objects — a skill his future family should be prepared to continue training.
Dex is friendly with new people and not reactive on leash, but he must go to a home without male dogs, cats, or small children. He would likely enjoy a home with a stable female dog companion, but he’s just as happy being your one-and-only.
Dex is best suited for a home with:
- Experienced dog owners
- No male dogs, cats, or small kids
- Active lifestyle and daily structure
- A calm, compatible female dog (optional)
Dex is loyal, intelligent, playful, and powerful — everything you’d want in a Doberman. With consistent leadership and purpose, he’ll be an incredible companion ready for any adventure.
